One of my first entries on this blog described the amazing benefits a Firewall Management Center (FMC) can provide to any cybersecurity team thanks to unique capabilities and features when it comes to managing Cisco Secure Firewall Threat Defense (FTD) next-generation firewall technology.
Great news came recently announcing that Cisco Defense Orchestrator (CDO) now includes a fully capable instance of the FMC so that we no longer require physical or virtual resources to deploy this technology. This means that from now on it is possible to consume the FMC as a cloud native service, being this a great option to support hybrid-cloud environments and also lower technological footprint and its costs.
